The short version

We store what you type, what we found for you, and what you thought of it. We do not sell it. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not store your IP address or your browser string in a readable form. There is a delete button and it really deletes.

About you, if you use the product

Your email address, if you give us one. Your market descriptions. The leads we returned and your ratings of them. Your purchases. Which pages you arrived from, so we know what is working.

Before you give us an email you are an anonymous visitor with a random identifier in a cookie. We keep a one-way hash of your IP address and browser string, salted with a key only this system holds, purely to stop one machine from consuming the free service without limit. Those hashes cannot be turned back into an address and are not usable anywhere else.

About the people we find for you

The contacts we surface are business contacts at businesses: a name, a job title, a work email address, a public profile link. They come from public sources and from licensed data providers.

If you are one of those people and you would rather not be in our index, email jesse@uemembers.com and we will remove you and keep you out. You do not have to explain why and you do not have to be a customer.

Cookies

One cookie, holding a signed session token. It is what keeps your leads attached to you across refreshes. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party cookies on this site.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and database providers, who store it on our behalf. Stripe, if you buy something; we never see or store your card details. Anthropic, whose models do the research; the text you type is sent there as part of that and is not used to train models. Hunter and Apollo, for contact lookups, which receive a company name or domain. Resend, to send you email.

If you choose to hand your leads to The General, that information moves to a separate DFX Intelligence product. You have to ask for that explicitly, we record when you did, and nothing moves before then.

How long

Your account data stays until you delete it. Anonymous visitor records and their hashes are cleared after 180 days. Company and contact records are shared research and are kept until they go stale or someone asks to be removed.

Deleting everything

The account page has a delete button. It removes your account, your searches, your history, your ratings and your saved leads. Purchase records are kept where tax law requires it, without the rest of your profile attached.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what we hold, correct it, take it with you, or have it erased. Email jesse@uemembers.com and we will do it. No forms.
